The short version

We run a small, independent website that publishes Hindu mythological stories in modern panels. Whether you are here as a casual reader or a curious seeker, we collect a modest amount of technical information to keep the site running, secure, and improving. We do not sell your personal data. We do not have a marketing team. We are mostly trying to make sure the pages load and the gods look good.

Who we are

TechnoMysticTales (TMT) is an independent storytelling project run from India. For any privacy question, write to technomystictales@gmail.com with "Privacy" in the subject line.

What we collect

When you read TMT, our hosting and analytics providers may record standard technical information: pages viewed, referral source, device type, browser, operating system, approximate region inferred from network data, interaction events, and server request logs. This is the same baseline information almost every website on the internet collects to operate.

Google sign-in (admin only)

Google sign-in is currently used only for authorised admin access - that is the team running TMT. Public reading does not require an account. If reader accounts are introduced later for bookmarks, history, or similar features, this policy will be updated before that goes live. When someone signs in, Google shares their account email, name, profile image, and authentication identifiers needed to maintain a session.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand which stories people read and how the site performs. Vercel Analytics is designed to be aggregate and cookieless - it does not personally identify individual visitors.

Advertising

TMT may display advertising to help support free public reading access. We may use third-party advertising services, including Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com/. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required by law, such as in the EEA and UK, we will request consent before serving personalised ads.

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies may be used for authentication, security, analytics, advertising measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and any future account features. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect parts of the site.

Hosting and content delivery

Pages, images, and media may be delivered through Vercel (hosting and analytics), Cloudflare (CDN, R2 object storage, and Workers), and Google (sign-in and advertising). These providers may process technical request data needed to deliver the site to you. They operate under their own privacy policies.

How we share information

We share limited technical information only with the service providers that help us operate the site - hosting, analytics, authentication, media delivery, and advertising. We may also disclose information if required by law, or if needed to protect the site, its users, or rights holders.

Data retention

Where we directly control logs or analytics exports, we keep them only as long as needed to operate and secure the site, typically no longer than 12 months unless retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EEA, UK, and India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to technomystictales@gmail.com with "Privacy" in the subject line.

Children

TMT is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will review and remove it where appropriate.

Your choices

You can disable cookies in your browser, opt out of personalised Google ads through Google Ads Settings, avoid signing in with Google unless required, or write to us with any privacy question.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as TMT grows. The current version will always live on this page, with an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
